Phoenix Comicon 2015 To Feature 4 Wheel Stars

One of the unique features of Phoenix Comicon 2015 happening May 28th – 31st is a car show. At least 40 cars seen in movies and TV shows will be on display including a replica of the 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse that was used in The Fast & The Furious.

Once again Phoenix Comicon returns to the Phoenix Convention Center this week and while the focus may be superheroes, comic books, cosplay, stars from sci-fi and fantasy movies and TV shows, the hidden gem may be the stars on 4 wheels. Yes, Phoenix Comicon 2015 will also feature a car show and is expected to have on display at least 40 cars and trucks that were either featured in movies and TV shows.

Yes, you might think that geeks and nerds are all about comic books or dressing up as their favorite superheroes or villains but there are a group of them that have dedicated their time and energy to build muscle machines that we could only one day hope to drive after seeing it in a movie or TV show. Yes, nerds and geeks come in all shapes and sizes and are from all walks of life including being able to build cars.

One of the cars people can expect to see is a replica of the 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse that was seen in the movie The Fast & The Furious. Yes, it could be one of the mechanical darlings of the car show. There will also be car that pays tribute to the superhero Green Lattern on display as well. Other expected vehicles making an appearance will the be the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine, K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider, and possibly the Ghost Busters Ecto-1 as well as the Delorian from the Back To The Future franchise. Yes. people may want photo ops with the stars that walk on two legs like Ron Perlman, Christopher Lloyd, Jason Isaacs, Karl Urban just to name a few. But the real stars this year at PCC 2015 could be the cars.

Phoenix Comicon 2015 runs from May 28th – 31st at the Phoenix Convention Center. Ticket prices are $90 for a full event online ($97.25 on site), Thursday is $20 if purchased online ($21.50 on site), Friday is $40 if purchased online ($43.25 on site), Saturday is $50 if purchased online ($54 on site) and Sunday is $40 if purchased online ($43.25 on site) and children 3 – 12 years old are $10 ($10.75) and children under 2 years old are free.
